Welcome to the Vicarstown Community Hall Website

The Vicarstown Community Hall is being built to benefit all the people of the locality irrespective of their age or needs. Unique in its layout, this new hall will be used to its full potential as a sports and health centre for many years to come. The hall is funded mainly by the GAA, Lottery, Church, Badminton and the community at large.

However, the nationwide decline in rural population over the last 40 years has challenged the viability of all rural communities with Vicarstown being no exception. It is hoped that these new facilities will give new life to Vicarstown and it's surrounding areas, and help make rural life more attractive and more appealing.

The aim of this website is to allow all members of the Vicarstown Community, home and abroad, the opportunity to see how work is progressing on the hall. On completion of the hall, the website will be used to make announcements regarding upcoming events etc. and also to provide information on the Vicarstown Community Hall.

At the moment we have plenty to see. We have the outline plans for the hall, so people can get an idea of what the hall will look like once it is completed. We also have photos of the new hall site during the different stages of construction as well as the night the ground was broken.
